For Ballyhoo Family Campground: This was a nice place however, to get there the last half mile is down a hill 6% grade very short on gravel. 20,000 pound 5th wheel. It rained the whole night so getting out we were able to bring it up the hill with a running start and our F450. Tires at the campsite were spinning. This campground is about 8 miles off I-40. Looks like they had some nice hiking trails although we did not use them. Just wanted people to know about that last hill.

For Ballyhoo Family Campground: This park seems real nice, though sites aren't perfectly level. The road has been freshly graveled and packed down good. There's a pond and resident ducks who love some raw oats. Friendly folks at check-in, but drive in from 40 was hair-raising in a tall 42-foot big rig. No damage...just some ding dongs on the radio antenna on the final road in. We parked with toad still attached! Nice! Call the park for directions in. Do NOT follow Siri or whoever your map app is. They will give you a route to avoid town and all but the final narrow road in. Very quiet and peaceful here. Our AC is the loudest noise going, except for the songbirds.
