For Tanbark Campground: Very nice pull through spot. Would stay here again. Conveniently located right off I-40.

For Tanbark Campground: Nice little campground for an overnight stay. Just far enough from I40 to avoid the road noise. Big shade trees. There are quite a few pull though sites. We had a shady pull through with full hook up at the PA rate of $21.

For Tanbark Campground: Older campground with narrow road access. Great location for a 1 night stay while on the road- they had a 50 amp site available when we called early afternoon for that evening. Had site with full hook ups, but site was narrow and offered no privacy. Appeared as though most sites had full-time residents on them.

For Tanbark Campground: Made a reservation at this park for a one night stay and but I was unable to get to this location. I called the office at noon on the day my arrival and spoke to an employee (Carl I thiink was his name)to cancel the reservation so that they may offer to another traveler. Later that evening I got a call from whom I believe was the owner/mgr asking if I was still coming as he had turned down other campers. I explained that I called earlier and again relayed the fact I was not going to make it this campground. This person starts yelling at me and then called me a piece of sh**t and hung on me.
This owner/mgr was extremely unprofessional and lacks very basic customer oriented skills. He did even bother to check/ask if I had called earlier to cancel. I have camped all over the US and I have never experienced anything like this! Do not stay at this park !!! They do not even deserve one star!

Tinman
For Tanbark Campground: Called while on the road to see about one night availability with our 40' MH. Was told they had several pull through spots available, and as we would be coming in late, just pick one. Narrow drive in and turns. Found several spot but only one available as the others had someone car parked on them. In the morning no one around so left our payment in an envelope and got back on the road. Appears to be 95% full timers.

Flippitti
For Tanbark Campground: I reserved over the phone and told the male staff member twice that we needed 50 amps, a pull thru and that we were a big rig towing. He told us twice that he had a spot for us. When we got there, he tried to give us a back-in with 30 amps. Felt like a bait and switch. The road entering the park is narrow and winding with low tree branches. The interior roads are narrow with very tight turns. And the sites are not big rig friendly. If you're longer than 60' including a tow car, go to another park. It's an older park with lots of longterm residents. Wifi was free but weak. The sewer hook up was way in the back next to our toad. It's convenient to I-40. The sites are just too tight and small for us. We won't return.

For Tanbark Campground: We had a very unexpected stop here traveling in from Ohio on the way to Louisiana. I became ill and we needed a place to stay for the night. They were extremely accommodating and kind. It was a quiet spot that we were grateful to have that day. Very close to interstate and stores not too far. Would stay again if we were passing through and needed to.
