For T.O. Fuller State Park: As other reviewers have said, the two big negatives are the sewer smell and the garbage in the fire pits and trashy sites. I worked in a sewer plant and this was worse than anything I’ve experienced before. It only lasted until the wind shifted but who wants even a whiff of that when camping. The trashy sites was another. I was next to a site that someone was using as a home base for work. Their site was a mess. The Park Ranger came over and talked to them but all they did was pick up one plastic one gallon jug and toss it in the fire pit. Not sure what the ranger said but the motioning and body language seemed clear that he had to clean up the site. We will never stay there again.

For T.O. Fuller State Park: This campground is a decent stop over. We did not experience the “sewer” smell other reviews mentioned. The grounds were somewhat maintained, but I wouldn’t call them well maintained. Most sights are paved and have electric and water hook-up (no waste) as well as a picnic table and fire pit. We stayed in site 30 which is a pull through on the outer perimeter. The camp site is long and narrow, so much so that our driver’s side slide stuck out almost into the roadway. It was nicely shaded and fairly secluded. I would recommend any of the spots on the back perimeter over the interior median spots as most of the interior sites aren’t as well shaded. That being said, if you are traveling during the summer, be very aware of TICKS! We camp with our four dogs (yes, we have our hands full) and they were covered in the pests after our hike and we would find ticks on them every time we would walk them around the campground. We also found ticks on ourselves. The mosquitos are also a nuisance, so bug spray is a must. Other than that, the campground was decent and the facilities were clean (laundry, bath house, and free ice). The camp host was also very friendly.

For T.O. Fuller State Park: Just pulled in and wonder what campground previous people reviewed. This place is bad! The sewer smell from the next door treatment plant and the garbage in the campground. Interesting how campers use the fire pits as trash receptacles. I wonder if the campground host is supposed to clean the sites or the park rangers?? Our site is not the size advertised. It is supposed to be 60’ long and our 36’ fifth wheel fits along with the truck turned sideways. Dead trees above the RV. Really! The positive - cheap, close to Memphis and there is supposed to be a pool.

For T.O. Fuller State Park: This park would be 4-5 stars if it weren’t located next to a sewage treatment plant. When we arrived the sewage smell was overpowering. It was a beautiful evening but you couldn’t sit outside due to the smell. We stayed 2 nights and the first night was the worst after that the smell was transient. Sites were very nice and the bathhouse old but clean. Would probably not stay at this park again.

For T.O. Fuller State Park: Made reservations for 3 night stay based on mostly positive reviews. Unfortunately, site was too overgrown for us to safely get in without knocking off the a/c units. We are 13’11 maybe taller than most? We explained dilemma to park ranger and were issued a refund. General observation of campground is that it is a bit disheveled and marginally maintained.

Suzie

For T.O. Fuller State Park: Regardless of how nice the park, the sewage smell was so overpowering as to almost make me vomit. I could hardly set up. Needed a scarf over my mouth. Would have opted to leave but late in the day without an alternate in mind. Too bad. Will be leaving early morning. Windows tightly closed.

Kurlykaren

For T.O. Fuller State Park: Little campground with a nice, clean and warm bath house. The water for the shower and was very hot. They give you free tickets to the war the nearby Native American museum. However, do not park and shop at the local Bass Pro pyramid store. Our vehicle got broken into in things stolen. All the locals know this information, but that the tourists.
