For Cove Creek RV Resort: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of the campground at Cove Creek. Getting to the campground is all on good roads, although if coming from Townsend, the road is curvy and narrow. Be prepared. The roads in the campground are gravel and in good condition. Trees are all trimmed back so they do not hit the motorhome. The campground registration office was open and everyone were friendly. There is a camp store but it is very limited. Firewood is available down the street for purchase. There is a large area for parking while checking in. Our site was 94, a back in site with a fire pit and picnic table. Our site was level. The site was dry, BUT during some heavy rains, we were told we may have to move because the creek could overflow. It almost did, but we did not need to move. The campground is mostly seasonal folks. Many are not in good condition. The bath house is OK. Laundry was basic looking but nice. There is a recreational center, but the air hockey was broken. There is no restaurant on site, but the campground is close to town. The pool is saltwater and is nice. Cable TV service was good. Wifi was good. Our campsite was peaceful. No road or highway noise.
Our site was large and spacious. Here is the reason for 3 stars. Too many seasonal campers. The grounds were not maintained and they had not been for weeks. Weeds were knee high. The creek was not inviting and we could not view the creek due to the weeds. The fishing pond was small and the berm was too high to view. Plus the fountain was not operational. This campground did not look or feel like a vacation resort. There are a lot nicer campgrounds in Townsend or Pigeon Forge. We will not come back. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well..

For Cove Creek RV Resort: Probably 3 and 1/2 stars. pros - nice clean facilities, concrete large sites, good cable and WiFi and close to everything without being too close to the tourist madness. If you want the “campground feel†stick with the KOA. Cons - little pricey to be surrounded by permanent owners and long term residents. I chucked at the many posts that say to stay away from coming in from the Townsend side! Got to be kidding me you are in the mountain! Just go slowwwww! 321 is not that bad and it’s sure better than coming thru the city.

For Cove Creek RV Resort: This place has to be the biggest joke I have ever seen. We arrived 7 days ago and booked for a month and have already been harassed by the maintenance man multiple times over various situations. They do not allow you to take your garbage to dumpster so they tell us to put it at the street and they will pick it up. Then once we do we get a phone call with him yelling at us because we put it out at 8 am and didn’t wait until 9-11 when they pick up trash. We were going to be gone for the entire day and thought we would put it out early so that it would for sure get picked up. Then when we did put out another bag of trash at the times he requested we caught him going through our trucks and walking through our campsite touching stuff. We always pick up after our dogs but we let them out at 4 am and it was snowing so we let them go in our little yard and planned on picking it up when we woke up in the morning . I woke up to a phone call with the guy yelling at me to pick it up. He would have had to walk behind our camper against the junk yard fence line (seriously a junk yard) to even see any of it. Then I Go to do laundry in their ridiculously priced laundry area and the washer that I put my clothes in floods the room so I call the guy and he come and yells at us because it flooded. Even though he had admitted to us that the company that they rent the machines from was just out for the same problem a few days prior. The bathrooms although clean are left with doors propped open which a privacy concern. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place in my entire life. Not only are they NOT dog friendly they are not people friendly either and that is just unacceptable. There was trash all over our site when we arrived we are backed up to a junk yard and there is the rudest staff I have ever met working here. Never again will I be back and we will be leaving early .

For Cove Creek RV Resort: Nice park, but there WiFi is non-existent . If you need WiFi and don’t have your own with you, stay somewhere else! It is ridiculous to advertise having WiFi when it is not usable. Can’t even download a book, do an email, or look at Facebook.

For Cove Creek RV Resort: Nice park, but like most parks WiFi is about useless. We have stayed hear a number of times. Never understand why parks don’t have decent WiFi these days.

For Cove Creek RV Resort: Nice, clean, conveniently located park. Great views, good sites and good hook ups. Highly recommend this park for visits to The Smokies. And folks, I can't say enough about the staff here . . . we needed some unusual assistance and they jumped in to help like we were family. We will always stay here when visiting this area.

For Cove Creek RV Resort: Centrally located. Some sites are nice concrete pads, but most are gravel like the site we had. The gravel sites were pretty much like a parking lot. Wifi would not allow us to get on. When we eventually did it was very slow. We camp in the area often but had never stayed here. We probably would not come back. Restrooms were fairly clean and nice, but we did not use them. They need to upgrade the gravel sites. No playground for kids even though we don't have any.
