For Bastrop State Park: Typical State Park. Some sites unlevel, some level. Good room between sites. Nice pool, great trails, really large. Can bike or drive to another State park on internal park roads.
Stayed mid June 2021

For Bastrop State Park: Very nice park, sites are paved, bathrooms updated and clean. Lots of hiking right from campground. There is some road noise from nearby highway.

Michael Dwyer
For Bastrop State Park: We stayed here at the end of 09/2018. This park is big, we didn't get time to cover a fraction of the trails.
The pack is making a come back, and it's nice to be able to see the process.
The full-hookup section has lots of slopes so bring your blocks. It's great for bike riding though. The playground is a walkable distance from there and is fantastic.
We did not stay down in the electric/water section but we took a look and it's beautiful and secluded in the trees and appeared untouched by the fire.
Road noise is barely discernible, but you are right there next to Bastrop for your shopping needs, not to mention not far from Austin.
Cell service was good:
Verizon: 4 bars, 20Mbps

DoubleR
For Bastrop State Park: Just stayed for one night, passing through. Sewer connections are in a concrete vault and a metal lid with just a open PVC pipe. Sewer gas continually coming out. Sewer donut doesn't help. Full hookup sights are paved, but not very level. This one night will be our last night to stay here.

TeamMcCormick
For Bastrop State Park: I have tent camped and stayed at Bastrop State Park in a fifth wheel the past two months. The park is starting to show signs of a comeback from the fires several years ago. For RVers it's a good option for a at least a night or two. Sites were level. The sewer connect was at a slight incline from our RV site (#12) so we didn't bother hooking up. Used the dump station on the way out the following day. I would stay here again.

Pigcrib
For Bastrop State Park: The campground is in a good location and has friendly staff, however, the recent fires in the area destroyed the park's nature and area wildlife habitats.
The campground is surrounded on three sides with busy roads. Due to the lack of trees, etc. the road noise is pretty bad and it like camping in the heart of a city.
I would stay at the park again but only as we pass through.

Los Laser
For Bastrop State Park: Too many mice! All over the place so protect your rig if you stay for long.
