For Artesian Park RV Campground: Really bad, almost non-existant out-dated wifi. Sewer hookups are two feet off the ground. (dont know what they were thinking). Owner/manager wayne is trying to make up for some childhood bullying. Constantly trying to throw his weight around and harassing you over every little thing. Driving on wrong road, too fast (have to ride the brake in here to keep it at a crawl). Sites are either sticky mud, or ant-infested grass. Lots of strange long-termers.

For Artesian Park RV Campground: OK, I reviewed the two other reviews and do not see what they see/saw. There are no FEMA trailers. There are a lot of TT's that folks are obviously living in. There is also 10 or so construction type workers that are temporarily in the area working. There may have been 5 to 7 of us that were just tourist in town for a few days. Like one said most sites were not perfectly level but TT's & 5'ers had no problems. As a Class A we chose a reasonably level site and were satisfied. This is a PPA campground so we enjoyed the $28 half price. I would NOT have been happy paying $56 a night. We did not use the restrooms/showers, do not know if they even had any. We never met the owner or any employee. When we arrived there was a form to fill out, we filled it out, we put the exact money in an envelope and dropped money & form in a mail slot on the office door. There were plenty of vacancies and we were able to choose the site we wanted. There were some sites near the highway, that would be noisy, however, there were MANY (as in 20 to 30) located so far off the highway that you could not hear highway noise. It appears that this owner is converting to a permanent residence park vice depending on traveling RV'ers. They had obviously eliminated anyone working in the office. With all that said, I do not think there was a better option in Brenham, although there is a COE Park in the area also $28 a night and Nails Creek State Park. Both of which are located much further from town. This is late April and the 12-sites at the local fairgrounds were occupied by permanent residents back in January when we were making reservations. Bottom line, have fun trying to locate a better option. The other two RV-Parks we saw were FULL of permanent TT residents. While this park did have a lot of permanents living there it was a clean neat park, nothing sketchy at all. Just not a resort.

For Artesian Park RV Campground: Stayed approximately halfway back into park, road noise very bad. Most sites are horribly un-level. Host is very nice but does not make up for all of the parks shortcomings.

For Artesian Park RV Campground: Rustic but very well kept. Mostly seasonal, and overnight sites aren't very nice. This is an old mobile home park that has been converted to RVs. It has a pond and lots of acreage with a large area for dogs to run off-leash. Rules are reasonable and owners very nice. Cons include several FEMA trailers and highway noise if site is close to 290.
