For Doctors Creek Unit - Cooper Lake State Park: Really nice campground with nice level spots. Only a single loop with camp sites so minimal traffic. Kids enjoyed playing at the two playgrounds. The only downside to this campground is how difficult it is to see the campsite numbers, especially when we arrived after dark, it was almost impossible to tell which site was which. Would be much nicer if they would add more visible signage.

For Doctors Creek Unit - Cooper Lake State Park: Nice shaded spots. The lake and trails were fun. Make sure to bring bug spray. We stayed in sight 16 and the branches wouldn’t allow for our awning to go out, it is also was high on our door side, making our steps high (Lesson learned, get a step stool). We drove over to the other State Park and they had nice sites also. They also had a company you could reserve canoes, paddle boards, etc All in all we would go here again, just maybe wouldn’t be our first choice.
