For Sandpiper RV Resort: PROS: Beautiful renovated grounds. Sites of good size in cement and turf. Very clean. Near the beach, but NOT ON THE BEACH. A 5 minutes walk through the municipal parking. Picnic table ok but could be better.
CONS: some sites are not inside the campsite, but at the OUTSIDE, directly on the busy boulevard. And they do not notify you of this fact when you make the reservation. So, advice, make sure your site is INSIDE the campsite before booking, otherwise you may be very disappointed. NON HEATED POOL. There is no security after business gours. Party-goers can party as they please, which has happened to us. There is a person to contact at night, but we were not given this information to our registration, so we endured théier party all night. Would that person have come if we had phoned? we do not know. At about 500 feet from the campsite, there is a helicopter company that makes laps every 10 minutes. Continuous takeoff and landing. Although we are used to noise because we live near a major road, a railway and a fairly large airport, we were bothered by the constant noise of this place. There are only two washers and two dryers located on the 2nd floor.
I give 3 stars for the cleanliness and for the nearness of the beach without needing to take the car, if you have a site INSIDE.

For Sandpiper RV Resort: Wow, were we lucky! Just planning on staying one night on our way home to Arkansas! We stayed 4 days! Hot tub, possums, cornhole, beach, Mardi Gras, lounge, showers, & laundry!
Fun times!! A real surprise, a little expensive but so worth it.
If heading north, avoid Houston’s traffic and take the Free Bolivar Ferry on your way off the island!

For Sandpiper RV Resort: This is truly a 5star. The sites n streets are all concrete, very modern hookups n beautiful old palm trees throughout. Hear the surf n a little traffic but mostly quiet this time of year (February). Lots of restaurants n shops along the beach n very close to downtown. Pleasant n helpful staff friendly neighbors, we’ll be back😊

For Sandpiper RV Resort: Overall the park is pretty nice. Since it is within the city of Galveston, you should expect to have the city noise in the park.

For Sandpiper RV Resort: Nice park. Neighbours in site next door partied to 5am. No enforcement of noise rules but we were able to change sites. Surrounding drains on three sides of the park have stagnant water ponds so mosquitoes here were the worst we’ve ever experienced. They’re so big we initially confused them for birds. Impossible to be outside for most of the day. The constant rain and mozzies made us move on....
