For Jim Hogg: Sites range from nicely wooded to no sun cover at all. Ours was the latter. And heat index was 110-115 each day. Not anything the park can control. The site was 30a and fine for our 37’ motor home. Nice picnic area for each site. Get to the dump station early. It backs up. I count 12 units waiting to dump. Never got too rowdy at night.

SGugel

For Jim Hogg: Sites are ok, but oversight of the park was done by people that couldn’t help you. No walk ins were allowed, so all the walk in sites remained empty while we had to leave and come back days later. Even Reserve America that does their online reservations thought it was stupid. Hopefully they will fix t

Richard

For Jim Hogg: A very nice campground. Most sites have shade trees... not all. The lake is great. The reason i didn't give it 5 stars is the campground loop is very large, with only one bathroom facility. It can be a very long walk to the bathroom. The bathrooms are very clean, with showers.

TheMadTexan

For Jim Hogg: Great park, well worth the price. There was some construction across the lake that interfered with the peaceful atmosphere during the day but was tolerable and was done by dark. Lots of roadrunners to watch during the day and deer passing through at night. The lake was down about 12' during our stay but all in all, it was great!

Kevin

For Jim Hogg: Nice park with good space around rigs. Lots of good hiking, biking and water sports. Close to great town. Bathrooms are really run down and not enough. Absolutely needs bathroom upgrade. Too bad for this type of facility to have such awful bathroom.

Shademan

For Jim Hogg: Nice views good roads and sites. Stayed in lower loop because of the season. Most sites require leveler blocks but tables and covers are in good condition. Nice shaded sites on higher numbered spots with remainder having few small trees.
Bathroom and showers are run down and need need major upgrades. No room in shower stalls for clothes or a towel.

Yooper Dan

For Jim Hogg: Nice campground, stayed three days. Strong water pressure and lost power for a short period due to a storm. Did not use the showers but made use of the toilets which were clean and fully stocked. This park is close to major population centers so the park fills up during the weekends so book early if you can. We also found a great pizza restaurant in Georgetown, 600 degree Pizza. You know it's good if the place is packed at 5 pm with people waiting outside on a rainy afternoon. You can order and pick it up is you want and that seemed like a popular choice.
