For KOA Holiday Lake Conroe Houston North: Nicely laid out, level sites, good asphalt interior roads and level concrete pads. It’s near Lake Conroe but not on the water or even close so not really a destination park. It’s was mostly empty when we arrived on a Saturday. We’ve been here several times over the years and the price has taken a real jump to $59 a night since adding the KOA sign out front. Maybe they’re trying to attract more customers but I don’t expect they’re getting a net profit after paying the high franchise fees. I suppose we’ll be back as it’s near family and the only close competition near here is a couple of dumps.

For KOA Holiday Lake Conroe Houston North: Came for one night as a stop over. Many empty sites are available and they placed directly adjacent and feet away from two party couples with three kids. Campfire and cigarette smoke blowing in the direction of our slide, which is just feet away from their campfire. Inside our rig, we could hear their conversation. Beside us on the other side and across the row are empty campsites. Ug. WiFi nearly non usable which makes no sense with so few people here. Called the number provided for assistance (not the KOA office) and got only a voice mail and no return call. The cable TV did work great at our site. Otherwise not impressed.

For KOA Holiday Lake Conroe Houston North: I made reservation for Lake Conroe KOA. I ask for late check out time for around 5 PM. After my reservation was made I received an email stating that any RV/Rig left on the property after 3 o'clock is considered an extra day is charged.
Which that's perfectly understandable and I agreed to pay if I wasn't out of there by 3 o'clock. About 11:45 AM the day of checkout, I was at M.D. Anderson in Houston at a doctors appointment with my wife when my phone starts ringing in the middle of the appointment. It was the manager of KOA calling to inform me that
I would have to pay five dollars an hour after 12 o'clock if I wasn't out of there Rv Park.
It's not the money that bothered me it's the way they went about it pretty chickenshit. There were a total of four RVs in the whole area that we were in and there is probably more than 100 locations that people had room to park Rv. The management there are going to make sure they get every nickel and dime they can out of you... very poorly managed. Not near KOA standards! Will definitely not be back!

For KOA Holiday Lake Conroe Houston North: The park is a good stop over park and/or a place for quick get away but if you want a nature type park, keep going. The park is right off a busy highway close to the city of Conroe. While we were camping there, we consistently heard traffic and other distracting noises.
The park accommodations are nice and if the geographic location of the park was set in a more rural setting it would rank much higher in our opinions.

For KOA Holiday Lake Conroe Houston North: KOA Lake Conroe. Paved roads, level concrete pads, clean restrooms, some cable and activities for kids. Power and water both good. Only complaint is the spotty wifi which should be better at the resort rates they charge.
