For Lone Star Lakes RV Park: We have stayed at this park many times and always found it clean, safe and convenient.
Park staff go out of their way to assist with issues most parks would not touch.
Biggest problem with this park is that it stays 100% full year-round and you have to reserve very early to get a site.
Their slogan is "Best RV Park value in the Houston area", and if you compare their amenities to rates you have to agree that statement is true.

For Lone Star Lakes RV Park: DUCKS and DUCK POOP!!!
We are Full-Time RV'ers... And this campground might be ok for some... But not for us. We are here in the Houston Area for my wife to be treated at MD Anderson. We made a reservation here for two weeks until we could move down to the RV Resort down a couple blocks from MDA... Downtown. We left on Day 3!!! Not sure I will get my money back... But I will let Wells Fargo and Visa handle that.
When we arrived... The park looks old and tired. 90% of the park is full of permanent residents... In old travel trailers that have not moved in years.
We did not really have a problem with that, but... The 5 sites that they out us mobile guest in are about 9' wide with a little tiny patio and a very small rotted picnic table. All useless. My slides were close to my neighbors RV. No way to out the canopy out.
But the best part was to come. THE DUCKS!!! Gotta be a couple hundred of them. I grew up in the country... And I know how freaking nasty ducks and chickens are!!! They carry disease and crap everywhere!!! Duck crap is not small either. I have pics!!! At one point... I guess one of our neighbors had been feeding them... And when we pulled up... They came from everywhere. At least a hundred or more!! And they are NOT scared of you!!! You cannot chase them off.
Anyway... Forest Retreat right around the corner is MUCH better.
I would NOT recommend this park to anyone.
