For Liberty Hill: Very nice park but the sites are not real level - there are a few that we would consider level - 50-55-62 are just a few but there are more that are down hill - now all of this is because we don’t use jacks but a board now and then to level

For Liberty Hill: Spent four nights at Liberty Hill spots 51 and 50. Fairly level so easy setup. Sites were clean and very nice with trees and a great view of the lake. Recent flooding had some areas closed. Plenty of places to walk and explore. Restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. Check in staff was great. Host named Jerry was very helpful and had some great one liners that had us laughing. Good cell service. Will return in the future.

For Liberty Hill: If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Very nice park with view spreading from the dam on the east side to sunset beach on the west. Bathhouses very clean, yet a healthy walk from our site. Met a group of very nice people in the sites next to us which were very helpful. Looks as if COE Parks will become our first choice.

For Liberty Hill: Staff was friendly. Our site was absolutely beautiful with a panoramic view of the lake. Wildlife was abundant with fish jumping and herons diving in after them. Boats are present but their noise is barely audible.
Night sky conditions were as good as can be expected for a place that close to Dallas. The wide open view away from the city was pleasant.
The only knock was that after doing a little cold-water swimming (this lake is colder than surrounding lakes ? very refreshing!) we found that the bathroom next to the swim beach had no running water. This might have been because it was not considered "swim season" but a posted notice would be nice.
We went to the main shower for our campsite though and found it to be amazingly clean, with lots of hot water.
The playground has been removed despite still appearing on receration.gov maps.
The advertised problem with Argentine ants was not to be found at all. Weather was beautiful and none of them showed up.
Cell service was good enough with window-mounted antennas ? 8mb down with Verizon and 20mb down with AT&T.
Over all the minor issues do not detract much from the overall positive rating. We only stayed here for an night and are looking forward to returning.

For Liberty Hill: Park is large and spread out, sites are good size, though some loops are tighter with neighbors rather close. There are few sites suitable for big rigs, but most are not level. Some loop corners are tight for a big rig, but doable with a little back and forth. We were here in the off-season, so part of the campground was shut down and we had to move to a different site. Nice park roads for walking or bicycling, and there are great herons and other birds to watch. There are HUGE ant problems in our site, and they put a note about known ant issues at some sites and what Campers can do about it themselves. Hmm. Verizon coverage is mediocre. Data speed is almost okay sometimes and intermittent at others. Voice is erratic. Bathhouses are clean and functional. Check-in is okay as long as there are no technical glitches. There seems to be regulars on weekend, since best sites seemed to be reserved ahead of time. We thought about doing a favored site during the week, then moving...nice and quiet, peaceful. Cleaners came to our new site because we discovered a trail of sewage leading from the dump to the road. They poured Clorox and Fabulousa all over the place, including the covered picnic table and slab, then power washed it all. Sure smelled nice after that. LOL
