For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: Why would you put guests who go to the trouble of making a reservation in the “overflow†area with no sewer, no shade, and load road noise? Doesn’t make sense to me. Also they provided no information - had to go ask for WI-FI password. Bathrooms did not appear to be very clean and it’s a long day all from the “overflow†area to all the facilities. Overall one of our least favorite military RV facilities stay.

For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: This was a convenient location with electric and water hookups with a dump station. Two washers and two dryers were new and worked fine. There are two parts to this campground (which is about 9 miles off base) and the CG is gated. The old part has trees and FHUs and 3 doggie bag disposal areas. The new part is in an open parking lot with no trees, no sewer, and no doggie bags at all. The pool is a nice size and there are loads of summer time activities to do here including tennis, basketball, boating, fishing, etc. A large dog run would be nice. They certainly have the room for one. They also need to get some WiFi access in there.

For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: I really want to give 5 stars. The lack of WiFi and deteriorating laundry machines is the reason for 4. Supposedly going to get new stuff end of 2018. The staff is awesome!!! I stayed here for 3 months and they are really professional and accommodating. Overflow spots (water/electric) are almost always available.

For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: The only problem we had at this camp was the feral cats. My male dog had to be on a short leash because he wanted to eat the cat poop. But the staff and site were great and we really enjoyed San Angelo. Had site 6 so had a view of the lake every morning.

For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: Beautiful lake. Stayed in space 2 called ahead for a reservation to make sure we had a space. Reserved space had only water and electric but someone left and full hook up was first come first serve full hook up with trees , concrete pad, pull thru and picnick table. Better section of park. Check it first. $20 a night. If you want to rent a power boat you need to take a free boat course at www. boatus. org. take it before you get here. WiFi is on and off. No cable but we got some channels over the air with antenna booster to include the major networks fairly well. Goodfellow AFB is about 20 mins away but San Angelo is just down the street of you need supplies.will come back again. Staying 2 says in a fifthwheeler.

Buff
For Goodfellow AFB Recreation Area: Stayed 2 nights in site #19 (back in) in a 34 foot motorhome. Room to park towed in front. Concrete pad, picnic table, and grill. Have to use pliers to hook up water, no handle. Internet connection is sporadic. Nice view of the lake! Other sites are pull through where you would not need to disconnect toad. Pontoon boat's, kayaks, and canoes available to rent. Marina closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Green grass and birds singing in January. Will definitely stay here again. Paid $20 a night.
