For Sun Outdoors San Antonio West: Stayed here for 2 nights and went to Sea World. They do offer a shuttle with pickup 930am and Sea World pick up at 4pm (you have to tell them I want to use it). We took the shuttle there and Uber’d back. The place was packed full but surprisingly quiet. Pool was very nice with kiddie pool and hot tub. We stayed in site 602 and there was no shade. The spots are pretty close together but they are concrete (at least most of them) and have a pad outside your door to put chairs. Most seem to have picnic tables. Even from the back it was a pretty short walk to the pool. There are shady spots also, though I’ve read some people have had issues with tree branches. My sister stayed in a 1br cabin with a loft and it was very nice, plenty of room for her 4 people, she loved itThe whole place was clean. The streets are one way with a loop around the perimeter. We have a 33’ class A and had no problem maneuvering. We had a great experience over all and would go back.

For Sun Outdoors San Antonio West: Of the parks in SA, this has been our favorite. The other parks are either too tight or are in bad areas. This one is conveniently located. There are issues with wifi and such, but it’s worth that hassle. Wish they would lower their prices a little as well.

For Sun Outdoors San Antonio West: There is nothing about this place that suggests you could use the word RESORT, in any context whatsoever. It is 99% full timers who have stairs attached to there trailers and their rv’ s have not moved since who knows when. As others have written the park is way to tight almost totally un navigable if you are of any size and the trees hang way down waiting to rip off your roof top, equipment. RUN!

For Sun Outdoors San Antonio West: Review on RV park. Blazing Star RV RESORT. San Antonio TX.
I would give 0 stars if possible.
We stayed here in June of this year for a month. When we were leaving to go home on the way out of the park I hit a low hanging branch hanging over the road and damaged my 2018 discovery RV. I stopped at the front desk. Spoke to the manager of the park. I made an incident report. taking pictures with her phone. I had since learn that Blazing Star RV resort in San Antonio Texas does not have insurance. They have lawyers that take care of all their damage claims and they have refused to pay for my awning to be fixed due to their negligence in allowing the branch to be low enough to damage my RV. So just to make anyone aware that if any of you are staying in this park and you damage your be due to their negligence they will not I repeat WILL NOT PAY for any damages due to there negligence.

For Sun Outdoors San Antonio West: Nice Park. As some other reviews point out, the sites are a bit narrow. I found it odd the bath houses closed at 9pm and the pool at 6. Nice dog park, play ground, and very clean bath houses. Some permanent rigs in the back, but well maintained and quiet. Also gave a military discount. I’d stay here again.

For Sun Outdoors San Antonio West: This park is beautifully laid out and landscaped, but the amenities are difficult to use, and it is not a camper oriented park. If you have a problem after hours there is no one to call. We spent a night without wifi due to this. There are 3 bathroom/shower cabins with 4 combined bathroom/showers in each. The rooms were fairly nice but often dirty and only open from 8 am - 9 pm - which seemed odd as the showers also had coded locks. I imagine it saves the camp money as fewer people are able to access the showers. The showers are also cleaned only during the open hours and so are dirty first thing in the morning and inaccessible while they are cleaned. As we were out and about seeing the city we were only able to use these showers twice during the week we stayed there. It was very irritating to pay $60 a night and have to use the RV shower because we went out to dinner or saw a movie. When I asked about the shower hours the woman at the desk was snooty and asked if I didn't have my own shower in the RV. The small pool advertised as heated was pretty, but not heated - it was freezing and we could not use it. We saw people in it only once during our week there. When I talked to the manager she explained she had a policy to turn it off at a certain date regardless of weather and she couldn't just turn it on and off every day etc.. However, my condo has a heated pool so I know a heater can be set for a certain temperature so it isn't just going on and off all day. Regardless, if you advertise a heated pool - you should provide it. When we stayed the nights were in the 50s and 60s the entire week and it had also been that cold the week prior. I am sure it saved her money to have the pool not being used during this cold period, but it seems to defeat the purpose of being a luxury resort. The manager did not apologize or appear sorry that the pool could not be used. Her attitude and inflexibility did not make me feel she cared about our experience. In fact, we chose this park because of the heated pool and would have stayed somewhere less expensive had their website been truthful. There was no hot tub, sauna, or any other type of spa facility. There were no activities or social events. The wifi was fine and offered a streaming speed for a fee. We did that and it worked very well (hooking up the TV through an HDMI cord and my computer streaming Netflix and Hulu.) The sites were fine and some had picnic tables on connected pads. Our picnic table pad was nearby but not connected. The roads are narrow and tight. The laundry room was spacious and comfortable. The washers were ok and dryers were good. It was 2.00 for a "super wash." The park had a clever little playground which allowed parents to sit in covered booths while their children played inside the gated area. It also had a small children's pool near the main pool. I assume it was unheated as I never saw it used. They advertised a shuttle service to Sea World, which we did not use. Overall, we will not stay here again. In fact, we moved after a week to a less expensive park in Schertz that had a amazing hot tub and a friendlier vibe. We were very happy we decided to leave and only wished we had left sooner.

For Sun Outdoors San Antonio West: The grounds are nice but the wifi is the worst I have ever seen. They contract with a company and some sites don't even have wifi. When you complain at the office they look at you and say they can't do anything about it. It is terrible. Also, when you make your reservation they take the entire amount from your card on that day and if you have to leave a day early you get no money back. If you had an emergency and could not make it you lose your money. They don't give you another time or credit, you just are out of your money. I will never stay here again.
