For KOA Holiday Charlottesville: What a pleasant surprise this KOA turned out to be. Clean, wide sites, lovely trees, and each site feels unique. The location away from the freeway is well worth the few extra miles and the scenic Virginia country road in. Staff was courteous and helpful. Nice amenities with a lovely pool, lots for kids and teens, and a surprisingly nice nature trail that loops the park. Under 20 minutes to Monticello or Costco. We will definitely stay and make this KOA a routine stop on our trips to the northeast. Our prior experiences at KOA’s out west have been only so-so, or even worse, but this place is a winner.

For KOA Holiday Charlottesville: My family really enjoyed this campground. It is wooded and off the beaten path. Well maintained. Will be coming back.

Waypoint
For KOA Holiday Charlottesville: This is about the only place to stay in the area. Small park, gravel sites but they are private and easy to level, we had site 54. It’s about 10 miles to town. DO NOT GO IN VIA HWY 631, many low limbs to scratch coach, use HWY 20. Verizon nonexistent, WiFi very slow. Staff could care less if you are there or not. They do have cable. Like I said, it’s about the only choice you have. Bathrooms and showers looked clean although we didn’t use them.

For KOA Holiday Charlottesville: The staff was great and the pool larger than expected. We rented the "deluxe cabin" when our motorhome had a mechanical breakdown in Atlanta. The cabin fit our need for six and, as far as cleanliness and meeting the sleeping requirements, it was fine. It was equipped with a small, but adequate, refrigerator and microwave; however, we were taken aback at the no cooking VA regulations and total absence of utensils in the kitchen. Not even a coffee pot; not good. For a "deluxe" cabin at $149 a night, it certainly would have been nice to know the rules ahead of time. I would also note, that other than the local Liberty gas station, one would have to drive miles to find a restaurant or grocery store. Circumstantial, yes, but beware. We were able to get wifi connections through their KOA site, but the Verizon service (hot spot and cell) is abysmal.

For KOA Holiday Charlottesville: Some sites have the hookups too far away to use a 25 foot hose or cable for the TV hookup. It has ESPN which seems to be a rarity. Clean park with a small pond. Wifi was weak at my site. Gravel roads and sites. If go back if I was in the area. 3 1/2 stars is a better rating.
