For KOA Holiday Richmond North Kings Dominion: Nice to visit a KOA that still provides all the services we are paying for! Garbage cans throughout the park are always appreciated. Very clean, good pavement, lots of shade. The only thing I didn’t appreciate, with pull through at less then 50% occupancy, why do campgrounds park two big rigs back to back. It makes it so hard to get out. Also, COVID people, give us some space.

For KOA Holiday Richmond North Kings Dominion: Beautiful woods, great COVID19 precaution and professionalism, nice plots for trailers, lots of room, new and well maintained amenities. The pool is gorgeous!! And the general store is cute and has everything you need. Someone stole my pin for my stabilizer bar, but I wouldn’t blame the park for that. It was almost empty so someone just swiped it in the night. Cost me an hour getting a new one but it was only a dollar. Y’all, don’t steal from other campers. You can always ask for help.

Jim Black

For KOA Holiday Richmond North Kings Dominion: In the off season this is a great place to stop for an overnight when traveling on I-95. It is a full service campground with showers, laundry, full hookups and a nice store. The price was around $30. I would expect that the place is very busy and more expensive when the amusement park is open. Yet I would think it is still very nice for families if you are there for the park.

For KOA Holiday Richmond North Kings Dominion: This was our first stay at this KOA and I would have to say we were impressed with everything except for our site. We were in 219 and the only one that was worse was 220. Dirt sites with no grass and muddy when it rained. We also had a stump sticking up just high enough to catch your tire on.

As for the good stuff...shower facilities were really clean and well kept. They looked newly renovated. The pool and playground were both nice. The shuttles to Kings Dominion were quick, the drivers were polite and the shuttles are free ($15 to park your own car at KD). The reception desk/camp store staff was very helpful. We wanted a pizza one night and they ordered it to be delivered at a specific time, it was only about $15 and it was delivered to our campsite.

Overall a good experience just avoid sites 219 & 220.

For KOA Holiday Richmond North Kings Dominion: Just spent the weekend which was our first visit. Hope this helps anyone planning on staying there. The facility is nice but poorly run. Lots of teenagers working who did not seem to have answers or authority for much of anything. Think Kings Dominion employees who work a camp ground. Everyone was nice but seemed like a lot of disorganization. There are two portions of this facility so if this is important for you please take note. There is NO cable hook up in the non paved areas and they don't tell you that when you book. When you call to make a reservation note that you are not calling the facility but some off site booking company. They do not assign you a space when you book, so you won't know where you will be until you get there. We own a 40 food diesel pusher so I requested a space with easy access to get in and out. They put me all by myself in the old section where no one stayed. The old section you are literally parking on ground. No gravel. Literally pulling in between trees. Lots of tree debris all over the roof of coach and awnings. We were told there were no pull thrus available yet when we got there there were plenty all weekend long, so clearly no one knows what they are doing. We witnessed several people asking to be moved once they saw their assigned space. The facility itself is very nice, clean and attractive. They just need better management. The cabins are awesome if you need one or don't have an RV. There is a shuttle to take you to the theme park 2 blocks away. Lots for kids to do. We will stay there again but be better prepared next time we book.
