For Camp Burson - Hungry Mother State Park: Camp Burson is located just off route 16 and before the narrow twisty park road that leads to the Creekside campground. It is a great location for larger rigs to set up camp and then explore the park in a smaller vehicle.

For Camp Burson - Hungry Mother State Park: Class A state campground. Beautifully kept, some large pull through sites, most back in. Suggest reservations well in advance. New showers , camp staff is terrific and very helpful. Excellent camp storeand dump station is easily accessible. Off Rt 16 and back of the dragon. Loaded with trees and very quiet, pristine beach and many activities for kids and adults alike. Hiking and biking. Highly recommend. Stayed 3 great nights.

For Camp Burson - Hungry Mother State Park: Love this campground. The sites are very spacious. We were there on a 4th of July weekend and the place was close to full and it felt like it was close to empty because of how spread out the sites are. The hiking and biking trails are great. The lake and surrounding area is beautiful. Very kid friendly with all the activities in the state park. Lake has a well kept beach and swimming area. Bath house provides a large and clean individual room. The staff is very kind and helpful.

For Camp Burson - Hungry Mother State Park: We stopped here for one night on our way south on 31 July. What a great campground! Everything was spotless, in good mechanical condition, and easy. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and professional. I rate it 10/10/10 and I think you will too. We will definitely be back and plan to stay longer.

For Camp Burson - Hungry Mother State Park: Beautiful in the fall. We just stayed one night passing through, but will definitely come back for longer. Beautiful lake and campground. The lake us Electric only and perfect for canoes and kayaks. Boat rentals available. Nice swimming beach. Numerous cabins. About 10 miles off i81. Many and varied hiking trails. One if them circles the whole lake. This isn't too far from the VA Creeper bike trail. Full hookups pull through sites are available in the Burson CG. Our site was level. There are also sites with just water and electric. There's a big arts and crafts festival here in July.
