For Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park: What a beautiful Campgound. So well maintained. Easy to get to in a beautiful area. When I called from the road they took ok my info and left a great checkin packet full of detailed instructions to get to our site. They have a separate area with pull throughs for those staying only one night. It was well lit and comfortable. A HUGE dog park to give your dog some exercise after a long travel day. Sites are large and have fire pits. Theres a beautiful lake and the grounds are impeccable. Wish we could stay longer but will definitely be back

For Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park: Very large campground that is well maintained with lots of open green areas. We have a big rig, 43.5 motor coach, and had no problem getting to and into our site. There were some overhanging limbs that should be trimmed back but they were small and not a big issue. Utilities were great and WiFi throughout the entire park. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was where we were was mostly full time residents that blocked what could have been a very pretty view. Still would definitely stay there again.

Robert Watson

For Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park: Nice, well kept campground. Friendly staff. Just not for us. Long trip from office to our site. Not big rig friendly. Did not feel safe crossing some of the creeks to get to our site. Not much room on each side for error. Tree branches hit the coach as we navigated on a twisty gravel road up hill to our site. 50 amp service and sewer at very end of site and once we pulled in with our towed, were too far away to hook up without trying to back up the towed or god forbid, attempting another drive around.. There was 30 amp service closer so we hooked up to that. Ran the power awning into a tree when we put it out. Our bad Again, seems like a good place for smaller units.

For Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park: Great stop over! Would love to stay longer. Seems like it is way back in the woods. Quiet, peaceful. Big Rig Friendly! Friendly staff. Have several different kind of spots. Long pull through in an open area (no sewer), (dump station provided) flat shaded spots on creek and pond. Then another area up a hill, with a lot of full timers. Stuart’s Draft is just down the road with all the amenities you could want and Charlottesville is 30 miles east. Can cut all the way thru to go east on 64. Sheetz station in S.D. has fair fuel prices and you can pull all the way around the bldg!

For Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park: Worst KOA I have ever stayed at. I highly suggest you go elsewhere. The owner is rude and very argumentative. Don't share that you didn't enjoy the site they stuck you in... he won't try to make things right but will argue that his KOA is the best and very accommodating. Not.

For Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park: My wife and I called ten minutes before arriving and we were given a pull-thru site (as requested). The staff we interacted with were very friendly, the campground itself is nicely appointed and has lots of basic amenities. The pull-thru site we stayed in was pretty level, with water and 50A/30A electric. Great spot for us to overnight, will definitely visit again when in the area.

Neal

For Walnut Hills Campground and RV Park: We stayed in this campground only one night while traveling west on nearby interstate 64. The campground is large and well-kept. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities. However One thing we did NOT like is they have camp fire rings even in the pull through sites that we stayed in. We had smoking fires only 2 feet from our camper on both sides. This seems unnecessary (and perhaps dangerous ?) for pull through sites designed for short-term stays. We probably will not come back to this campground because of this problem.
