For Davis Lakes and Campground: Even though the campground map appears to show 3 different camping areas, two of the largest areas are really long term campers, most of which appear permanent more than long term with expired tags (if any) and structures/additions built onto the RVs. In saying that, the remaining campground area around the front portion of the lake is nice enough, BUT Directly on a highway. Our site was separated from the actual highway by a wall making for a very loud two weeks. I would recommend the perimeter sites rather than the two interior row sites. The weekends filled with families and children, including the on-site cabins, as this is a nice contained area for kids to run free. There is onsite laundry, however, it is located at the very front of a long term area that is just an empty field with a single loop with gravel and open sites with a small storage area in the front area. We tried this as an alternative to Virginia Beach when visiting our daughter in Chesapeake, however, we would prefer the KOA in VB as Suffolk is a dismal town with little to do and inconvenient for travel.

For Davis Lakes and Campground: We stay at Davis Lakes whenever we visit my daughter in Chesapeake. The campground is very pleasant and quiet. The staff is very friendly, as well. We have always been treated well at Davis Lakes and we look forward to staying there many times in the future!

For Davis Lakes and Campground: This campground is located conveniently off the highway and if I’m in the area, I will stay here again.
In general this campground is a mixture of both short term and long term campers. The long term campers keep their sites clean and orderly. The sites are fairly level gravel pads that are fairly level.
In general, the campground’s facilities are really good. The owners of this campground obviously take pride in their facilities and keeping appearances up.
The bath house was clean and good working order. We purchased propane from the campground and found all the staff to be friendly and helpful.
This facility is a do over again for us.

For Davis Lakes and Campground: I called to book a site and from the first moment they were super rude on the phone. Very impatient answering questions and giving information. The day of, we had technical issues with our RV so I called to check what’s the latest we could arrive. Again, same rude person answered and made it very clear that we can’t arrive after 9pm. As I was seeing that the technician won’t be able to finish on time for us to get there before 9pm I gave them another call to check what our options were. They did’nt care much for our situation or anything, just said they will cancel my order and refund my credit card. I didn’t even expect the refund and was about to say we will just arrive the next morning instead but they didn’t even give me an opertunity to speak. They were just rude and wanted to disconnect the call as soon as possible. After getting that attitude from them I didn’t even want to stay with them and booked somewhere else. I understand it’s high season but that’s not a way to treat people, especially when having a bad day

Troy
For Davis Lakes and Campground: For a region light on RV parks this place is a gem, plenty of summer activities; fishing, swimming, kayaking etc. Cable tv and free wifi slow but usable (2Mbps). Just down the road from main street with plenty of food easy access and during day time they have someone who will escort you to your lot and help you back in. For long term stays put in a reservation in well in advance. Front office staff is extremely friendly. Laundry facilities available on-site.
