For Cape Henry RV Park: Not a bad place but it's too much work for an overnight stay. Getting our 33' TT into the spot was a delicate dance because of the trees and narrow road ways, literally a matter of inches at both corners. It was my first time backing in, talk about baptism by fire.
I wouldn't mind staying there for a few days though.

For Cape Henry RV Park: Happy to report the service to restrooms dramatically improved since my mostly negative last review. Thanks for the prompt response MWR Maybe next year we'll see a fresh coat of paint inside and out!

For Cape Henry RV Park: I've always loved coming to this quiet spot so close to the beach! But, I'm really put off that no one seems to care about the facilities. I can put up with and understand 'old' but no one seems to be cleaning or take any pride in the bath house. Moldy shower curtains, dirty shower stalls and the filthy doors are beyond explanation! An attempt at updating the basin units was made but looks very amateurish. Bathrooms go without toilet paper on the weekends... enough said!

For Cape Henry RV Park: Nice, quiet campground. Don't forget to pack your stuff...this is as basic as it gets. Staff was friendly and helpful.

For Cape Henry RV Park: Great campsite. The staff is friendly and the sites were clean. We brought our 31 ft class C and had no problems navigating the grounds. Location to the beach's is wonderful and a short drive to local restaurants and Virginia Beach.
Be warned that this is a Military base and you will be woken at 0800 every morning to morning colors. It seemed that the loudspeaker must have been inside my motor home.
We will be back very soon. This is one of our new favorite sites.

For Cape Henry RV Park: I'm still really new at RV living, but will say I have had a better time here then most hotels. The lots are in a wooded area and the campsites are gravel. I have a 43' heartland cyclone and was able to back into my campsite. Fire pits conveniently located next to campsites.
The staff was so very helpful locating the camping grounds. This place is clean and just a stones throw away from the beaches and the strip.
Bottom line. A great location and very inexpensive. I will be back here the next time I am in town.

For Cape Henry RV Park: We camped in a 28 ft. C Class motor home. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the park. The campsites are gravel and dirt so you will need levelers. The bathhouse is old but clean. The laundry is free and very clean although in an older building. The beach is a short walk with a beautiful view of the mouth of the bay and the bay bridge tunnel. There is a small exchange at the gas station. Our site had water and electric. A dump station is near the check in site. If using a GPS use the address and Fort Story. If you use the address and Virginia beach you will end up way down in the middle of the tourist beachfront area .
