For Toutle River RV: We chose this park as we wanted to explore Mt. St. Helen and it was convenient. As others reported, the trains were noisy and frequent. Our rig was a rockin’. Park could use some maintenance. Some old rigs look like they are long-term and have lots of “stuff†stored outside even tho not allowed per campground rules. Many of those sites need lawn trimmed. Had some rude campers around us - walking thru our site, dogs not on leash and loud music even after we asked them to turn it down. No sign of any camp staff monitoring park. Could easily have come in and used facilities and they wouldn’t have know it. Did not know until we arrived that a second car was $20.00 per day.

For Toutle River RV: Nice park, we had a spacious pull thru with shade and privacy. We didn’t mind trains, they didn’t seem to run very late. Very friendly staff and well stocked store with groceries wine and beer. Movies for rent. Supposedly had WiFi but after logging on too slow to stream or download. Public restrooms/showers need some upgrades as vinyl flooring is shot.

For Toutle River RV: We like most things about this park. Only thing we DON'T like is the train. LOTS of trains day and night. Very noisy. If you aren't close to the train side you are near the freeway. ALSO very noisy.. be sure to have a loud fan going in either case which doesn't drown out the sound but makes it so you can sleep through it a bit easier.
Nice pull-throughs, pool, meeting places and loads of room in each site, tho. Great staff and the park is kept up nicely.

For Toutle River RV: It's not just that the trains are noisy. Our whole motorhome shook every time they went by, which was frequently. Try sleeping through that! Plus, the WIFI was virtually nonexistent.

For Toutle River RV: Noisy noisy noisy, and very expensive. This place is horribly located. It is sandwiched between the freeway and double tracked rail lines that average 60 trains per day (I looked it up). The prices are just way too high and the noise is too outrageous. That said, I gave them an extra star because the owner is friendly and the ammenities are decent.
Bathrooms and showers are decent. Not all sites have fire rings. Some of the sites have decent shade. They have a big rec area with basketball courts and karaoke and a big lawn for croquet and frisbee golf. The pool is nice. There is a perpetually under-stocked store on-site. They have saunas and a jacuzzi. The river is sort of far away but a nice walk.
If it were not for the damn trains this place would be brilliantly awesome. But it's just way way too noisey and very expensive.

For Toutle River RV: Got here around 3 to 4 PM. Really nice BIG park - almost all pull thrus, 50 amps - loved it UNTIL the trains started (approx 15 minutes after we arrived and continue about every 20 to 25 minutes thereafter). Come to fine out the tracks are just behind a line of trees. We are staying 1 night so will see how often the trains run during the night! If you like trains - this is the park for you!
