For Fort Flagler State Park: There are two totally different camp areas. The upper has solid old growth trees in very secluded spaces in a circle with a restroom including shower in the center of the 47 spaces with a trail to the hub. These have no hook ups and at more like camping. There is no view, the trees are fantastic, maybe 100' tall and 4 - 6' diameter. I travel in a Class B & often Boondock so I was very much at home for $30. The lower area has the waterline, hook-ups, pretty wide open, I chose not to stay there, so my acessment of that area is less accurate based upon my drive through.

Happycamper

For Fort Flagler State Park: Overall we enjoyed the campground. It was very clean, hook-ups worked great, and there was lots of exploring to do within walking distance of site, from beach exploring to checking out all of the old batteries and history of Fort Flagler.

The cons for us was the wind and most of the campsites were anything but private or secluded. You were pretty close to your neighbors, which if your going with multiple families is probably a added bonus.

There is also a junior ranger program for the kiddos.

For Fort Flagler State Park: $40-45 a site, full hook ups, large grassy sites, and miles of forest and beaches. Fire rings with cooking grates, paved roads, docks, and miles of trails to walk. The water view is amazing. Seals, and birds to watch playing in the waves. On a reasonable day you have a view of Mount Baker. We come back to this camp ground over and over for weekend get always.

Bumpkin

For Fort Flagler State Park: All lower campsites are nice most with full hookups. Tent sites or no hook ups back in trees.. Washington State Discovery Pass required.. And fees for campsites keep going up,, Water front ? View ? $45. &40 for basic with hookups... How they determine whats what ... I don't get. All but a few have views of the sound. I decided to get the waterfront @$45 #109 and couldnt see a thing because the brush was high ... Nice hiking trails the Fort Flagler parade grounds have beautiful views of the Puget Sound and the shipping traffic , ferries, cruise ships.

Dr. Z

For Fort Flagler State Park: Nice campsites (many tent sites not level for RVs but can easily take our 24 ft RV). Great views. Fun bunkers to explore. Good views. G1 is a fntastic group site for larger events.
