For Ike Kinswa State Park: the reservation system doesn't reflect the rv size restriction. Could not get a 40' 5th wheel in any site. Be aware, other than that the park looked very nice.

For Ike Kinswa State Park: Error made. When I phoned to get a site , I was told there was no water in the park during winter months except at the dump station and, therefore, no showers.
I did discover that my hook up site had water and now just found out that the showers work.Tokens are available at machines by the park office and also at a very nice shower by the cabins .
Some of the camping areas are closed during the winter. It did get more crowded by later on Friday but the sites are spacious and pleasant.
There are a couple of nice walking trails in the park. I did not reserve ahead and the camp office was closed but there is a phone to reserve a site. ( I am lucky I got a site and think it's because I arrived early or because the weather is still cool).

For Ike Kinswa State Park: What a delight to discover this wonderful campground! I had a great site amongst some trees, watching the sunset over the lake.
In winter months, the showers were closed but I had water and electrical hook up for my Motorhome. The fee was $25/night which I find very reasonable.I was there on a week end and did not find it crowded.
I plan to explore some of the hiking trails.
It's a gem!

TentCamping

For Ike Kinswa State Park: Great spot next to the lake. If you've not reserved a site in advance you have to call the office by a provided phone - was very complicated compared to many other state parks we stayed at.
There are only very few sites next to the river, the others are back in the wood. We spotted dear which was awesome! Pretty shady. Quiet and private during the week, I guess it's getting very crowded at weekends as the sites are extremly close next to each other. The restrooms were dirty, the showers uggly - I have no idea when the cleaned them the last time - it was brown allover and had green/copper rust. You have to change token at the park entrance which is a 10min walk from the tent-sites. I'd recommend the campground for the location but not for the facilities. It's so overpriced!
