For Lodgepole Campground: We stayed here to access Mount Ranier NP. We have a 30 foot travel trailer, came from the West, and it was difficult to find accommodation that looked like something better than tourist mayhem. We enjoyed this campground. Lovely river you can step into ran through the back of the campground. Paved roads and sites. Good privacy and space between sites. Clean bathrooms. A pretty clueless but friendly host. Online, there are no walk up sites listed but there are about 5 there in reality. Fires last year stopped the solar well project, so there’s NO WATER. Fires and flooding seem to have really impacted the campgrounds up here. The next one on the map, pleasant valley, is out of commission completely. Hell Creek has pump water, but the roads are dirt and really beat up. Bring water in and stay here.
