For Bluebird Springs Campground: My wife was right about this place. It is a dump. One of the worst places to stay. The only good thing my wife can say is it had a bar. I had some food from there it was awful. Greasy

For Bluebird Springs Campground: We had made a reservation a month and a half prior to our stay. There was nothing given to us but a verbal confirmation. 3 days prior to our stay I called to confirm and was told everything was in order. Upon arrival they could find no record of our reservation. They offered to squeeze us in between two other campers if the could find the guy to move his truck. Needless to say we moved on. Very disappointed!

Rob
For Bluebird Springs Campground: So we were supposed to stay at Pettibone Resort but it was flooded due to the recent rain so we gave this place a try.
The good... it is in a beautiful location... full bar
The bad:
1) majority of residents are permanent
2) it is not well maintained. The roads that have turn around points that are so overgrown that you as a person cannot walk through without ducking let alone your rig getting all scratched up or damaged
3) the sites are just plain odd and unlevel. By odd I mean extremely dangerous to get into and even harder to get out of especially since the turn around a are not an option
4) everything just looks and maintained at a hill billy level. Nothing is done to standard
5) showers you have to pay 50 cents
6) the price of $45 a night is a rip off for what your get, water and electric.
I would give this place a 2 or 3 stars if it was $15-$20 a night.
I will not return and recommend others not as well.
Pro tip: make sure to see grandad bluff before you depart the La Crosse area as it is a gorgeous overlook!
