For Scenic Ridge Campground: Just utterly bad. We had several family members, so we rented an rv site. Short, cramped, garbage on the site. Playground was filthy. Permanent race their golf carts at high speeds, dogs loose, very disappointing. The WORST part, we paid for an RV to rent. The first night there was a noxious scent, causing everyone to flee and sleep in their cars. They sent someone over on the morning, said they'd refund the night, but no, they later did not. Kept calling my son in law ,"the fella" who did venture in at 7am. Because he was African American? The smell persisted. No one ever used the bathroom because it reeked. I would NOT recommend this campsite. Worse campground we have ever stayed at.

For Scenic Ridge Campground: Unleashed dogs everywhere. Not suitable for big rigs. Almost a mile from the water atop a scenic ridge that does not exist. Jammed in sites a Nd hundreds of golf carts everywhere. Currently looking at an unleashed dog on my right and a chained and unattended Rottweiler on my left. How Am I going to walk my dogs this weekend without someone’s help? Don’t bother biking or paddling - it’s a mile away. Too hilly and the lake is straight down hill for almost a mile.

For Scenic Ridge Campground: In short, I will never return to this campground. Note that I have a 40 foot fifth wheel and I arrived on a busy Saturday. Here are my reasons: if arriving from the north, the turn into the campground is before the registration building. So if you pass the turn thinking that you need to register first, you'll end up having to back up on a narrow, busy road to get to the campground; there is no turn-around or any RV parking for that matter at the registration building. Getting to most of the campsites will require climbing a steep, narrow road. The road remains narrow and winding after the climb; passing oncoming cars is difficult. The campsites themselves are jammed together; don't expect any privacy or even any awareness that nature is around you. It appears that most campsites were paved with crushed stone. Our campsite (P3) was but parking on it was a rather significant challenge. Beware that there are maybe 20 golf carts buzzing around. We did not visit the restaurant, the showers or the bathrooms. If your rig is less than 30 feet and being jammed into a campground is your thing, then this campground may be for you.

For Scenic Ridge Campground: We came here to visit some friends who live on the lake. There wasn't much of a choice so we tried this one.
It is a private residence / seasonal campground first and foremost. The weekend spots were an afterthought. All sites are grass. This worries me since we were driving a 38 foot RV. However we made it out after the rain, but the wet grass and mud made for a mess.
The bath house was very unkept. Also it is a long hike. The dump station was nearly inaccessible so we decided to head down the road to Pilot.
The journey uphill on horrible curvy roads was frightening. Barely enough access for our rig. Larger units beware.
I will say the power and water were consistent. That's about it. The
The ski show was great!
