For Black Lake Campground: Excellent facility with nice clean bathrooms, and well maintained camp sites.
No electricity or showers, but this is camping at its finest :)
Each has a fire pit and iron cooking grate. Also a nice heavy picnic table.
Great firewood can be bought just north of the campsite in the town of Clam Lake. (Not at the gas station, but an honest to goodness, load of wood for $35) Or you can buy it by the wheelbarrow for $5, which beats the price of the gas station at $5 for a roughly 10 piece bundle.
Close to Winter, WI which has some nice places to eat, although it's hit an miss as far as them being open at certain time of the year.
This camp is a nice place to kayak, either in Black Lake itself, or a short drive to the Chippewa or Flambeau Rivers. I suggest you check around first with the locals to discuss water levels, as there are some pretty sweet rapids on any forks of these rivers!
Lots of wood ticks, and mosquitoes, so come prepared :(
The lake itself has excellent fishing, a swimming area, wildlife, bird watching, and a really nice hiking trail surrounding the lake. And if you are into Geocaching, as of this writing, there are 3 hidden treasures not far off the trail just waiting for you to come hunt them out!
