For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Noticed that some reviews complained of the hills in the campground. Might want to remember that you are camping in "The Mountain State" of West Virginia. If you want a flat campground you shouldn't camp in the mountains. Very close to the interstate is nice for a over night quick stay. Site was level and a easy pull through site. (I have a 33 foot travel trailer being pulled by a four door truck with a 8 foot bed). It was nice to have access to the indoor and outdoor pools at the hotel. Bathhouse was clean and had a good size shower, but only two showers for the whole campground. Well kept, but little playground. Nice to have security driving around. Nice concrete slab on the site, but smaller site.

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Can only say the one bath house with inadequate facilities for the number of sites is clean. Few sites are shaded, most not level. Need to be a mountain goat to go from some sites to the bath house. Indoor and outdoor pools are up the hill at the hotel, not in the campground and are a good distance from the nearest site in the campground. Definitely not like other KOAs I have stayed in. And at $45/night, I would recommend Walmart parking lots instead of this place. I will never stay here again.

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Found a level site and it looks like work is being done to correct problem. Sites are gravel not paved. This is an good overnight stop not really a weekend destination. There are 2 showers in ladies and 1 in gents. Also 3 video games. Recreation listed is up the hill at the Day' s Inn. Nice and quiet with no road noise.
Tried to make a reservation online with KOA at 3:50 pm and submitted at 4:01 pm. Was advised that KOA does not accept reservations after 4. Tried to call lost phone service. What a nuisance. Registration is at Day's Inn. Rate was $42.50 with KOA card or $45. without. A lot to charge for a place to plug in for 12 hr and take a shower.

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: Driving in its up or down in campground. Staff doesn't understand if trailer is 32' and you have a crew cab truck can't make hair pin turn to some sites. Not for me never found a dump station either.

For KOA Journey Flatwoods: No site is level. Wheels off ground. Power 115 volts under load. Quiet once the school next door let's out. It is on a big hill watch for signs check in is at hotel.
