For Firehole Campground: Found this campground on day 5 of a cross country trip and was very pleased. It was the first place we knew we would spend several nights. The access was not far off the highway and paved. The scenery was stunning. The sites were mostly level and paved. Although you share a covered eating area, there would be plenty of privacy. We were there in late June and the campground only partially filled. The campground hosts were lovely, informative and friendly. The bathrooms and showers, while older, were very clean with lots of hot water. We will come back!

For Firehole Campground: Beautiful campground, overlooking the Green River, and interesting rock formations, a tower and a finger. The host, Gordon, was a jovial, chatty guy, who greets everyone who comes through, to answer any questions. The bathrooms are old style flush, 2 in each bathroom, and one shower with tepid, soft water. I would have taken a shower during the afternoon, when it's hot, if I had known. Each site is a "double", but they're offset enough, that even if someone parked next to you, you may not ever see them, because the nice, cool, concrete armada and a shade tree are between you. We were there on an August weekend, and the campground was about 1/2 full. It's 10 miles off the highway, nicely paved, so very quiet. $10/ night with senior pass. Saw campgrounds at Ted Rock and Mustang Ridge that also looked sweet. We'd stay again, for sure!
