For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Terrific state park 3 miles away from interstate. Quiet and peaceful. Arrived after 9, but lucky that a park policeman escorted us to spot. Very spacious pull thru spots. One night stay but will stop again when traveling through.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Glenda was a wonderful host the facilities were very clean and she was friendly. Enjoyed our stay though only overnight. We would like to come back and stay longer to fish and kayak. Definitely on our list of places to stop.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Wonderful park. Well maintained and clean. My only complaint is in regards to billing. They take credit or cash. No out of town checks. If a credit card is used a hefty convenience fee is charged. Taxes are high. I was given a 50% senior citizen discount that was wiped out by all the add on charges. I was not told any of this in advance. With that being said, still a well run beautiful park.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Large state park with more than just camping. (Cabins, lodges, boat ramp, nature trails, fishing) Clean and modern. Some sites are shaded in trees and some are in the open. On a hot day we missed the shade! All sites had at least power and water. Bath house clean well kept. $20 with senior or military discount.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: Absolutely spotless and immaculately groomed CG. Long sites with great spacing for privacy. Enjoyed their trails and a day trip to the nearby PP National Monument and UNESCO World Heritage site. The only negative is noise from LA17 which runs right past the entrance to the park.

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: One of the nicest State Parks we have stayed in. The sites that are water and electric only are all in the woods, very private, and large. Paved with 50 Amp. The FHU sites (most of them) were nice and large, but we liked the wooded sites better. The entire park is a Black Bear Habitat, and there are a few hiking trails. Bathhouse was possibly the nicest I have ever seen. Verizon was ok, TMobile did not work. This is just a few miles north of the Interstate, so easy for a quick stop. However, if you can, spend a few days and visit the Poverty Point UNESCO World Heritage site about 15 miles north. Well worth the time!

For Poverty Point Reservoir State Park: What a gem!! Could only stay 1 night but would love to return for several days! Clean, spacious, lake, and several hiking trails. We stayed here in 32 ft 5th Wheel.
