For Penn Lake Campground: This is a campground you'd like to keep secret. Everything it says it has, it has. No surprises. You must book online on their new web page booking system at marathon.ca. Caution it doesn't say much about how big the RV sites are. There are some pull through sites that will accommodate big rigs. Most sites are good size Site # 10 is hard to get into with a big rig. Great 3 km hike full of wee surprises. Try it if you can. Great little lake for swimming or kayaking but it was too cold and windy for us to do that this time. Brand new beautiful playground for kids. 'Comfort' building is new but didn't check it out. Sites are beautiful- most are private with trees. Even the wifi worked. Highly recommend.

For Penn Lake Campground: Clean, quiet campground. We had a pull through site which was long enough to stay hooked up. I made a reservation and my name was on a post beside the site. My confirmation receipt had the site number on it. I would recommend this place for an overnight stay.

Darleen

For Penn Lake Campground: A small quiet campground with clean washrooms, showers and laundry. Nicely kept grounds at the lake and a trail around the lake. We had site 1, a huge grassy site with 50A, water and sewer. Site 2 looked the same. Other sites a bit more closely spaced, some pull through, some back in and not sure of power offered. You can self register but only for one night. More than that you must phone the Municipal hall.
