For Lake Norman RV Resort: The campground is very nice with a great view of the lake. However, there is not much for kids to do and no fire pits allowed. Also, it can be very hard to get into and out of your sight. The layout is not the best at all. I will say the place is very clean and the staff was great.

For Lake Norman RV Resort: If you are a big rig - DO NOT stay here. We are 45 and towing. They should never have accepted our reservation without telling us we'd have to BACK the whole way out...down a hill, around a turn then up a hill. Insanity. Fortunately, the 2 campsites next to us left before us and we were able to turn around and drive out. The campground is beautiful and right on the lake. Lots of amenities and stuff to do. If we were smaller, I'd go back.

Venom

For Lake Norman RV Resort: This is a world class, extremely expensive, RV Motorcoach Resort with fantastic amenities on Lake Norman. It is also is the worst site layout and resort design imaginable, where was the common sense, what were they thinking? Consider this,.... we were there in a 40’ 5’er toy hauler and a F350 ! Campsites are on a number of terraces in the typical fishbone parking lot design on a hill overlooking Lake Norman, which lends itself to unimaginable stress and horrors when it come to access, navigation and exit, it is tight! The roadways are 17’6” one way dead head, with no way of turning around at the end of the roadway. We were on the top level where you would have to exit your site forward and then back out around a sharp downhill corner to then pull forward and exit the resort, horror! Alternatively, you will have to perform a 120 degree! turn to exit your site to go out forward, horror! Try either of these with a 40’ 5’er and a F350 ! The sites are short and most big rigs and 5’ers reach right up to the roadway and parking of trucks and cars make it even more tight. Imagine trying to get into your site with my truck camper combination! Most of the time neighbors will have to move vehicles for you to get in and out with your truck camper combination. Be prepared for much stress and aggravation for you and your spotter. The top terrace sites backs up to the very busy 150 NC road and traffic noise is excessive. Also, have long water and electrical equipment because these hookups are located 9’ beyond the back of your site on you neighbors site! If you carry a motorcycle, no room, you will have to offload and reload it outside the gate. Suggestion,.... like some other campsites the resort owners should have a compact dolly vehicle to ferry campers in and out should customers require assistance with theses tight conditions. My mental health and marriage will not survive another visit to this resort! thank you!,..... (humor)

For Lake Norman RV Resort: Deluxe RV park. Energetic, helpful, and friendly managers, beautiful lake view, spacious site, spotless facilities. We rented a pontoon boat from the resort, docked right out front, and enjoyed a fantastic day on Lake Norman. Wish we could've stayed longer, but we'll definitely be back. It's the most expensive park we've ever visited, but worth every single penny. Outstanding experience.

For Lake Norman RV Resort: More for long stays but it was fine. Sites are a bit tight and smaller.
