For Luray RV Resort and Campground: Great place with large level RV sites, river runs around the campground and you can put in your tube and float and get out still on the property. No pool, but you have the river. Close to Shenandoah NP. Would stay here again.

The Elwoods

For Luray RV Resort and Campground: This is a great campground. We stayed here the first weekend in December, and it was practically empty. It was pretty chilly, so that’s understandable. But there are some really great, large RV sites, and some really cool tent sites right on the Shenandoah river. RV sites are nice and level, and there are even some ‘super sites’ with concrete pads and covered picnic tables. Lots to do in the local area, including Luray Caverns, just a few miles away. Would definitely recommend.

For Luray RV Resort and Campground: Probably in the top three of campgrounds we’ve stayed. Beautiful setting, gorgeous property. Very private and the Shenandoah mountains right in your backyard. Would highly recommend and would come back. Stayed the whole week in September 2020

For Luray RV Resort and Campground: Beautiful campground. I could tell that much planning went into the design from landscaping to drainage, it is a very beautiful place. Just a couple of things that kept me from a 5-star rating. There is no laundry. There is a "no refund policy" and they offer no discounts of any kind. This is the first CG we have been to that has these issues. We spent a week here in a 2001 motorhome. The town and attractions were nice. Shenandoah River is beautiful and the Skyline Drive is amazing!

Charley

For Luray RV Resort and Campground: We loved this campground. Very spacious level sites. Rustic setting with full hookups and trails along the Shenandoah river to walk the dog. The park is immaculately maintained! It was cold when we were there a week ago..would love to return to fish and play in the water. We camped in our 37 ft motor home pulling a jeep.

For Luray RV Resort and Campground: We really liked this campground. It's just 30 minutes from the Thornton Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park and the Skyline Drive. Only 10
Minutes from Luray Caverns. Most of this campground is designed for RV's with full hookups and nice level packed gravel sites. They have a handful of drive-thrus. There isn't much in the way of shade, but the lawns are meticulously maintained and we could see the mountains. As another reviewer mentioned, seeing the sky is nice, too. The bath house is a bit rustic looking, but has modern plumbing and is clean. We loved being a walk or a bicycle ride from the river. This is a pretty place to explore on foot or bike, fish, tube, or play horse shoes. Gas and groceries are nearby. For tent campers they have beautiful sites down by the river.

Jon

For Luray RV Resort and Campground: Nice sites and views. Walk up river access then 20 min float, walk back to site. Close to Luray caverns where we did the ropes course and got ice cream. Also learned about balcksmithing and 18 century cooking. Our family enjoyed it.
