For Anchor Down RV Resort: Wow wow wow!!! what a beautiful campground. The owners really planned this out well when it was built! One of the most beautiful we’ve seen in the area. Big sites, fireplaces on some of the sites. We had one. Awesome! Fire pits on the rest. The view was spectacular!! Staff was fabulous and helpful. Easy in and out. Some have mentioned in previous posts that they were “hassled”. We didn’t see or hear any of that. We had family that came and visited for the day and they weren’t charged a fee to get in (as previously reported). Just a beautiful, quiet location. Close to all the attractions. We’ll be back next year!!

For Anchor Down RV Resort: The RV Resort is beautiful with the best accommodations, however that comes with a price. If you are bringing children and plan to spend additional money on golf carts, boat rentals, and pizza then you are a welcomed guest. If you are camping with adults and friends then the Park Patrol officers will hassle you about everything. Visiting guests were not treated respectfully, they had to pay 3$ to visit you (per person), had to park in an over flow lot, and we had to move our truck numerous times because it was in the grass, or sticking out in the road. This Park is not geared towards adults only wanting to have fun.

For Anchor Down RV Resort: See MarknSue’s review...I think it is very accurate. One thing to add is they have a food trailer that has the typical offerings but the food was below expectation, even for a food trailer...but let’s face it, the trailer is only there if you don’t want to leave the pool vicinity, and you didn’t come to A.D. for the food.

For Anchor Down RV Resort: We've traveled a good part of this country - more than 100 days a year and Anchor Down is hands down our favorite campground. Awesome views from almost every site. The owners spared no expense to deliver the best camping experience.

For Anchor Down RV Resort: Granted it is a little pricey. You get what you pay for and this is no exception. We did get a military discount however so ask what discounts they offer.
The People: you couldn't get any nicer.
Check in and check out: smooth, they have people waiting outside in golf carts during the busier times to greet you, get your information, give you information and direct you to your site.
Grounds: Amazing, the landscaping is pristine. Tennis, pickleball, basketball, a fenced dog area with agility equipment. The views were amazing.
Amenities: Camp store is very nice, has all the basic necessities and some very nice gifts. The pool is huge and has a pretty nifty slide, there was a baby pool and what looked like a banquet room for special occasions. A very roomy boat ramp, and several boat slips. I believe that they also rent boats as well as wave runners . There is also a beach area for swimming in the lake with water trampolines, and other water bounce toys.
The bath houses were the best I have ever seen. Each private room has a sink shower and commode, hooks for clothing and a chair or bench for changing.
The RV park is set up in 3 levels. Granted there is not a lot of shade in the lower level however it is close to the lake and the pool. I believe the best shade, breeze and views are from the 3rd level. Ask for spots 20-29, your legs may not like walking up that hill but the views will make up for it. They also rent golf carts if you'd like the best of both worlds. I am definitely a fan and will be back.

For Anchor Down RV Resort: If you want fancy amenities at a fancy price, this place is fabulous. After having tried it though, I think I will stick with being closer to nature. Very few spots with any shade. This spa-like resort park was designed with the class A crowd who are not interested in real camping.
