For Russellville - Lake Dardanelle State Park: Very nice and clean campsite! We stayed here for 3 nights. Close to the mountains for hiking, we went to Mount Petit Jean and hiked to the falls, Mount Nebo we watched the sunrise and sunset, and Mount Magazine we hiked to the highest point and then watched the most amazing sunset at observation point. Lake Dardanelle has kayaks you can rent which was great because we had ours but a friend met us and was able to rent one and kayak with us.

For Russellville - Lake Dardanelle State Park: Very nice state park! Paved roads. Most sites reasonably level....ours was perfectly level (#36), right on the water with a nice view. We had full hookups, picnic table and metal bench for sitting and looking at the view. Everyone seemed to have plenty of room and quite a bit of privacy. Unisex shower/restroom/sink combinations (6 per bldg) were clean, roomy and air-conditioned. We had an excellent Verizon signal so cell and data came through well. Very nice visitor information center! Friendly staff. We did not have a reservation and came in after hours but a park attendant offered help and led us to an empty site and told us that we could just pay the next morning at the visitor center. This was just an overnight stay it was a very pleasant experience and we will not hesitate to return to this park. Our cost was $23.32 for a premium weekday site. We camped in a Class B RV.

For Russellville - Lake Dardanelle State Park: We stayed here in a tent and we picked a site that had full hook ups. Our spot was very shady and we had a marina waterfront view. The thing we loved the most was the visitors center. It has huge aquariums featuring fish found in the lake. They also have several activities that kids of all ages will enjoy. There are also other activities to enjoy like a boat cruise and outdoor family themed movie. Our second favorite was the bathrooms because they were super clean and are individual bathrooms with great water pressure and a/c. They have a nice big swimming area and lots of places to walk. The thing we didn't like is that there is a Nuclear power plant on the other side of the lake where you constantly see steam coming out of. The last thing is that this park is in a dry county so if you enjoy an evening cocktail, you better bring it with you because the closest store is about 22 miles.
