For Reverends Ridge - Golden Gate Canyon State Park: This is an excellent campground. We stayed for 4 nights with our pop-up camper at an electric site. The site had a level, paved, back in space, with a sturdy picnic table, and a large campfire ring with grate. There was no WiFi or cell reception (Verizon) at the campground.
Some sites have a designated tent site as well. The entire campground is set in the foothills of the Rockies, and under ponderosa pines. The camp registration office sold firewood, and there were vending machines by the shower house.
The shower house was cleaned and well maintained. Showers were $1 for 4 minutes, there were also laundry, sinks for dishes, and an ice making vending machine that was out of order when we were there.
If you are pulling a camper or RV, make sure to check for the recommended route to the campground. There are some roads with steep grades or sharp curves that may not be appropriate for an RV or camper.
Panoramic Point is a must see at this state park. Well worth the drive!

For Reverends Ridge - Golden Gate Canyon State Park: Beautiful State Park with spacious sites. We were passing through Denver on a Saturday and were lucky enough to grab a spot the day of. Still a fair amount of snow on the ground. Highly recommend Loop B! Larger RVs and trailers should use Hwy 119 or Black Hawk since GGC has a lot of switchbacks.

For Reverends Ridge - Golden Gate Canyon State Park: This was our annual family campout with our kids & grandkids. I was leary of the road up to the park but discovered it was no worse than the Big Thompson canyon going to Estes Park. We found the park to be well layed out, sites relatively easy to get in to & helpful staff. We so enjoyed the fall leaves as our usual trips are in th summer months. It was nice in the high altitude to have electricity too as opposed to no hookups in the national park. We would come here again.

For Reverends Ridge - Golden Gate Canyon State Park: I would give this 5 stars if it wasn't for the pay for showers. We walked down to the very modern shower house, only to discover you had to buy the shower, $1.00, 4 quarters for 4 minutes. In my admittedly limited experience, the first minute or two would be wasted on getting the water warm enough to be tolerable . I don't mind paying the camping and daily use fees, but why can't they include a hot shower as part of your fee?

For Reverends Ridge - Golden Gate Canyon State Park: Campsites are well maintained but restrooms are not. Women's restroom was very nasty. Campers at neighboring sites can be very inconsiderate. Showers are $1 in quarters for 4 minutes of usually cold water. Change machines work half of the time. In addition to the camping fee there is a $7 a day vehicle fee. Lots of hidden cost to camping here. The back county sites is the way to go if you want affordable camping without loud and inconsiderate neighbors.

For Reverends Ridge - Golden Gate Canyon State Park: Great State Park campground! High elevation, quiet and spacious sites. Reservations a must for weekends. This park sells out every weekend in summer. Pretty full weekdays too. Can also be accessed through Black Hawk or Boulder and hwy 119, easier pull than from GGC road.
