For Elk Ridge - Ridgway State Park: Very nice State Park. Paved and level sites. Lots of trails. Excellent visitors information center and staff. Incredible scenery in the local area. Sites are power only. Water is available from nearby hydrants located throughout the campground. Dump station at the park entrance. Sites vary in the amount of shade. All have fire pit, table, and cooking grill on a concrete pad.

For Elk Ridge - Ridgway State Park: Spectacular views of surrounding mountains, spacious, paved sites (oddly inner e-loop sites have power pole on curb side so we drove wrong way into pullthru so our doorway faced table, fire pit, grill), mostly shaded. Laundry, showers ($1=4 minutes) with plenty of hot water, book exchange, playground. Deer, magpies are entertaining. Hiking trails throughout, down to reservoir (which was low due to half the normal snowfall), paved bike trail into Ridgway.
Be aware if you reserve, any discounts, such as senior pass, might not be calculated into your bill, so getting a refund is arduous at minimum and unlikely at worst. We’re still waiting.

For Elk Ridge - Ridgway State Park: A lot to offer in this state park.
One end of our campsite had a view of the reservoir, and from the other the tops of the San Juan mountain range.
Bathrooms are newer and kept clean. Laundry and pay showers are available. There are walking paths and a marina with swimming beach.
The park is only a couple of miles outside of Ridgway and about 13 minutes to Ouray.
Best campground in the area.
