For Buttercup - Lake Cascade State Park: Our second review of this spot, as we are camp hosting here for the second half of summer 2019. This is a family oriented campground with some sites along the road that are nice and shady, then sites along one long spine that are grassy, with great views of the lake. There are two loops with waterfront sites, but not all sites on the loops are waterfront. This place can be a great spot to have a family gathering, and moor your boat on the water near your site. There are vault toilets, running water (not in every site), and each site comes with a table and fire pit. Some sites are best for tents, others can accommodate RVs, even large rigs. Verizon and ATT cell coverages are good, but no wifi offered by the campground. The cell towers can get busy on the weekends. Nearby town of Donnelly has very basic services, McCall has groceries.

For Buttercup - Lake Cascade State Park: Camped here as a host for the first half of the summer season. The campground is GREEN and right on the lake. Lots of wildflowers, green grass, and some pine and aspen trees. The sites are mostly sunny, had serviceable cell coverage with Verizon. Close to the small town of Donnelly with a decent convenience store and a few restaurants. McCall is about 15 miles away. This is a great place to paddle in a kayak/canoe, or even use a ski boat. Fishing is pretty good, perch are tasty. We really enjoyed our stay here. There is a five star full hookup campground right on the lake at Poison Creek. However, this site is a tad more rustic, not as busy and just a lovely place to be. Park staff are excellent.
