For MainStay Cottages & RV Park: With stunning sunset views near Schoodic, we thoroughly enjoyed our Autumn stay at MainStay Cottages and RV Park. It is charming with delicious apple trees on the property and free use of the washer with solar dry (close line ), we were able to thoroughly enjoy this area of Acadia National (about 2 minutes away). Our lovely hosts Pearl and Roger directed us to the locals’ favorites including a great fishermen’s coop where we purchased freshly caught and steamed lobster and chowder.

For MainStay Cottages & RV Park: We recently had the please to stay. at Mainstay. It is a small rv park with only ten full service waterfront sites. The sites are very close together but the view is outstanding. There are no playgrounds, bathrooms, shower, etc. The ferry to Bar Harbor is right next door and hiking, biking within Acadia’s “quiet side†is close by. The town of Winter Haven boosts a fantastic five and dime store, a few restaurants, and an art gallery. Our hosts, Ron and Pearl, were extremely pleasant, very helpful and welcoming. We liked it so much, we booked a return trip in the fall.

For MainStay Cottages & RV Park: This is a very special RV park. There are only 10 sites and all are on the water of Winter Harbor with a gorgeous view. Close to the quiet side of Acadia National Park - Schoodic Point. And the ferry to Bar Harbor and the Desert Island side of Acadia NP is right next door or you can drive there in about an hour. We loved this quiet peaceful park. Our hosts, Roger and Pearl were great!

For MainStay Cottages & RV Park: VIEWS, TRANQUILITY, ADVENTURE: cannot recommend this place enough. It is a perfect hideaway overlooking Winter Harbor. Close enough to Bar Harbor if that's what you want, but far enough away to relax and marvel at nature. The park is very small and intimate. The owners Roger and Pearl are wonderful hosts. Do note that there isn't a bathhouse. But if you are a self contained rig you won't miss it. We can't wait to come back!
