For Tuskegee Campsite 2: Well... okay camping here. The first area we drove through was very marshy (Ntl Forest Road 937 & 938). This was dry ground here. There are I believe 4 sites off this road, but you could only get to the first site (#2) before a giant muddy spot prohibited further travel. There were beer bottles and litter, but other than that it was nice. Forested and quiet. Large area for parking/pitching your tent. We never saw any other visitors here, although we heard one vehicle drive past after we had gone to bed. So our approximate location was 32.443118, -85.638079 (right on Thunder Road). We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Tuskeegee Airmen hangars and Tuskeegee Univ - learning about how Booker T. Washington and his students wanted to learn, but had no classroom. They held classes in a church, then built their own buildings and houses, and even grew their own food! We recommend Tiger Pause for breakfast in the old bank building - good eggs, waffles, and a Tigercolada smoothie! Because we were trying to connect with real people we also visited Resurrection Cuts. This is a joe-shmo barbershop that gave a really great haircut and conversation to boot. We loved their logo and their motto: "We bring you back to life!"
