For Bay Meadows Trailer & RV Park: On our way home from another RV campground, we thought we'd pull into Bay Meadows Park near Consecon, Ontario. There was a smallish parking spot in front of the office and I didn't think I would have enough room in it with my 30' travel trailer so I pulled up to the gate and pushed the intercom button. I said we wanted to enquire about seasonal sites. Her literal response was, "This is a private park. What makes you think you can come in here?" She asked me to park in front of the office and come in but I told her I would have to back up (about 200') to the entry road. There was now a car behind me so I had to go back an apologize to the driver and have her backup to the road and let me in. The driver said there's plenty of room inside the park to turn around and even offered me her access card. I declined borrowing the card and explained the situation. The driver gave me a knowing nod and said the owner/manager can be difficult to get along with sometimes. We began backing up. There were now three or four cars behind me, all backing up and waiting for me and my wife to backup. About half way back to the road, the owner/manager came out and suggested I pull in front of the office. I looked again at the size of the parking and told her I would just continue to backup to the road and that we would be leaving. Again, she asked, "What made you think you could just come in here?" We're taking our business elsewhere. This occurred on Monday, September 21, 2020. Extremely unfriendly owner/manager.
