For Spanish Oaks - Possum Kingdom State Park: Stayed just one night as a stop over. Site #8. Level site with canopy over metal table. We didn’t use water because of warnings posted on the state park website saying it was not potable due to sodium content. We parked backwards so we could have a view of the lake. Very peaceful place. Nice to walk the dog around the campground. Saw other campers who kayaked in the lake, wish we had our paddle boards. It is far away from any town but worked great for us. Would like to come back and stay more than one night. AT&T had a weak signal and could only be used outside of motor home.

For Spanish Oaks - Possum Kingdom State Park: We camped in #8 and it was right on the water. It was a nice level spot and our 37 foot fifth wheel fit fine, but we parked our truck across the street in the parking lot. We had friends pick us up in their boat right off the bank, but we did have to swim. There is also a boat dock very close by which we used to get in. You can also rent slips for a boat if needed. The store near our site had anything and everything you could ever need, including very nice people. The drive in to the state park takes a little while once you turn off the main road. We will be back!

For Spanish Oaks - Possum Kingdom State Park: This is a beautiful campground. Our site was right on the lake we were basically the only campers here. One or two RVs came and went during the 9 days we were here. There are no sewer hookups and no WiFi connection but the jet pack worked fine. The dump site is located on the rent area and has easy access. There is a small turnaround in the RV area that get you stuck. A ranger said folks have broken windows and scraped sides trying to get out of there. THEY NEED TO PUT A SIGN UP WARNING FOLKS BEFORE THEY MAKE THAT TUFN!!! The campground is miles away from everything but isn’t that what you want in a camping experience?

For Spanish Oaks - Possum Kingdom State Park: I spent a couple days here off peak season and it's been so peaceful. Only 2 other RVs and lots of open space. A little bit of a drive to get here but the park is well worth it. Cell service goes in and out for ATT and T-Mobile but def usable. Clean bathrooms and shower and woke up to deer eating 30 feet from my trailer window.

For Spanish Oaks - Possum Kingdom State Park: Great camping experience, right on the water. Clean restrooms/showers and have a store on site. Good swimming area
