For Crandall Cove - Rockport State Park: First: Don't arrive before authorized check-in time (3pm at the time). Staff will turn you away unless you pay a 'day use' fee over and beyond what you've already paid in camping fees. Second: Ensure with staff that no one is using your reserved campsite as a day use area, and if they are, they are cleared out. That's what happened to me when I arrived. The problem I had wasn't from those that were using the campsite as their 'day use', they were apologetic and cleared out right away, it was from people in the campsite next to me. I'm not sure if they were associated, but I was harassed all afternoon and night by this group of stupid campers (they were located in CR06 on 7/6/2019). They made comments that 'the site I'm in is NOT a campsite and I should not be there'. They walked right through my campsite. Their dogs were NOT chained and these 'campers' let them run around where ever, pee and poop anywhere. They played fetch with the dogs through my campsite. Then the 'campers' encroached into my site with toss games. I did file a complaint with the Utah State Parks. I doubt anything will occur but I will NOT stay at this State Park again. If the Park staff cannot control their charges, they do not need to have that park there. Being 'overwhelmed' is not an excuse.
