For Quarry Pond - Deception Pass State Park: Fairly disappointing for a Washington state park. we stayed at Quarry pond which is no where near the ocean as it's on the other side of the highway. Not walking anyways.

For Quarry Pond - Deception Pass State Park: Generally a good campground with access to beaches and scenic hiking trails. We arrived in mid-day, mid-July w/o reservations and got one of the last sites available, so pretty busy. OK, the jet noise was really loud when the Navy was practicing carrier landings up until about 11 pm. But then I'm x-Navy carrier type and haven't heard that noise in 46 years. Kinda brought back memories.

For Quarry Pond - Deception Pass State Park: Love this place always have. But major jet noise up until 12am all day long has destroyed it. Feel like I am in a war zone!

For Quarry Pond - Deception Pass State Park: Typically we've Camped at the Deception Pass State Park campground across hwy. 20 closer to the beach access. Quarry Pond is the only campground in the park open in winter. This worked well as we now have a larger camper and Quarry Pond can better accommodate mid to large sized rigs. Many sites were fairly private. Avoid sites too close to hwy. 20 due to road noise. Campground was well maintained. Fresh water is shut off for winter so bring your own or water is available at park maintenance building.
