For Pine Ridge Road NCSR #1147: There are 7 sites along Pineridge, right on the lake. There are more free sites nearby on Joyce Kilmer Road and on Long Hungry Road. All free camping is only allowed at marked sites in this area with a 14 day limit. Not big rig friendly. The only place we could find drinking water was at Cheoah Point Campground. Watch out for poison oak/ivy/sumac.

US Lone Rider
For Pine Ridge Road NCSR #1147: Picturesque camping right on the lake. It is indeed free. Good for hammock camping as well as tent. Approximately six sites spaced very far apart. Great privacy.
