For Marfa Mystery Lights Viewing Center: Great spot for one night free to see the lights - does get busy close to sundown for the lights

For Marfa Mystery Lights Viewing Center: This place is small but several big rigs can squeeze in. We stayed there last night 12-28-17. Lots of people come in for sunset so it will get crowded for awhile. It is right beside the road and will get very noisy. It started quieting down about 10 pm. There is a nice little trail to walk with signs to tell you about the area. There was a guy set up there in a large RV with his slide out and jack's down. Don't be that guy and end the overnight parking. Overall, I would stay there again for over night. Just get there early to park on the west side which is a bit roomier.

For Marfa Mystery Lights Viewing Center: We stayed overnight in February 2016, and it was an interesting experience. We met lots of people gathering in the hope of seeing the lights. No luck.

The "campground" is a parking lot on the side of the road so it is a bit noisy until the truck traffic dies down. The parking lot filled up in the early evening with people waiting for the sunset so get there early if you have a big rig.

The town of Marfa itself is worth a couple of days to explore the galleries and restaurants.
