For Shores Recreation Area: We’ve camped here a few times! BLM land so free and 14 day limit. Some littering throughout. Bugs aren’t outrageous but do bring spray. Overall a pretty cool spot. RTT (rooftop tent) friendly as the spots are pretty level and decent size.

For Shores Recreation Area: This place is pretty great! Several free sites on the stream, and the others are tucked into the foliage. It’s always been very quiet every time I’ve been there. The main road is close to the campsites, but traffic gets sparse after dark. Oh... cell coverage with T-Mobile is sparse.
