For Whitehouse Area: Proctor Road, at mile marker 11, is a dirt road which accesses numbered dispersed campsites in the National Forest. They’re free and some of them are large enough for big rigs. It’s a scenic, quiet location at the foot of the Santa Rita Mountains. It also appears to be the only other camping option in the canyon besides the FS Bog Springs Campground which is small and fills up quickly.
