For Yard Creek Park: Yard Creek Campground, just 9 miles (14.3 km) east of Sicamous, BC, is a great spot to stop for the night or several nights. A dump station and potable water are available in the campground but the campground's 65 sites themselves are unserviced. We stopped in the early evening of the August long weekend and were able to find a great site able to fit our 43ft motorhome and tow car. The site was so level that our jacks had an easy time of touching the ground and they were done. On the negative side, some of the forest overhang should be cut back as several soft branches did reach out to the sides and roof of our big rig. When we arrived, the camp host was unsure if we would fit into any of the remaining available sites so he drove me around in his pickup truck to check them out. Even though many of their big rig sites were taken, two very good sites remained. 4.5 out of five for a dry camping site.
