For KOA Journey Dodge City: True to my previous review, we stayed here on a Sunday evening on our way back north. Surprisingly, the facilities were not nearly as clean as our January stay. Countertops were dirty and trash overflowing in the restrooms. We were assigned a 30 amp spot but we’re told the 30 amp circuit was inoperative (thankfully we had a 50 amp adapter), even though there were plenty of open sites. I’m going to chalk this experience up to shortcomings of the weekend staff at the campground. Dropping one star from my previous review.

For KOA Journey Dodge City: This was the perfect overnight stopover for us. Clean and modern facilities, friendly staff. Easy walk to downtown. Lots of open space. Adjacent to a nice park with a small zoo. There is a train track right next to the campground but we only saw one daytime train and it crawled by at walking speed (we’re train fans anyway). Surprisingly quiet for its location close to town. We would definitely stay here again.

For KOA Journey Dodge City: Friendly staff, large concrete slabs, well spaced sites, quiet, walking distance to downtown. Laundry facilities excellent, $1.50 to wash, $1.00 to dry. Would definitely stay again.

For KOA Journey Dodge City: Nicely spaced sites with hookups and cable tv. Arrived at 5:30 pm and nobody on duty. Some reservation packets were made up for individuals but not for me even though I made reservation the day before. Had to call for my site number. A word of warning - the campground is a couple miles from the speedway and if you’re there on a race night it can be fairly loud.

For KOA Journey Dodge City: Newer campground. Clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly. Close to downtown tourist attractions. Next
Door to a water park. Also next to a city park with a free zoo. Cell service is good as is WiFi. We recommend this park. Runs about $45 a night on average

For KOA Journey Dodge City: Very nice facility. Stayed overnight on the way to ABQ. Very friendly staff, concrete, level sites. Some train and traffic noise but not too distracting.

For KOA Journey Dodge City: This is the best KOA we have been to in a long time! We had a long level pull through site with a concrete pad. Hookups were conveniently located. WiFi was great! There are two washers and 2 dryers available at a reasonable price. Laundry room was clean and had chairs and a table. It is open 24 hours! The dog park was huge and our dog loved to run in the grassy field. Bathrooms in the office area were clean and nicely appointed. Office hours are odd. 9-1 and 4-6. We were here the end of September which could account for the shortened hours.
